Recycled Polyester Acoustic Panels for Tech Startup Open Workspace

Project Challenge
A fast-growing tech startup relocated to a new open-plan office with full-height glass partitions, polished concrete floors and exposed ceilings. The highly reflective surfaces created severe flutter echo and cross-desk noise interference. Team discussions, video calls and keyboard clicks traveled freely across the floor, breaking concentration and reducing productivity. The company required an eco-friendly, visually modern acoustic solution that aligned with its minimalist brand aesthetic and could be installed without disrupting daily operations.

Solution
100% recycled polyester fiber acoustic panels were installed on partition walls, column surfaces and feature wall sections throughout the workspace. With a stable NRC rating of 0.85–0.95, the porous PET material effectively absorbs mid-to-high frequency speech and ambient office noise, reducing sound propagation across the open floor. The panels are formaldehyde-free and ultra-low VOC, meeting strict indoor air quality standards for daily office occupancy. Custom soft neutral tones were selected to match the brand’s minimalist design language, and lightweight adhesive installation allowed phased construction with zero downtime.

Results
Post-installation measurements showed a significant reduction in overall ambient noise and reverberation. Cross-team sound interference was greatly minimized, and video call audio quality improved noticeably. Employees reported fewer auditory distractions and better ability to focus on deep work. The sleek, seamless wall panels blended perfectly with the modern office interior, delivering both acoustic performance and a clean, professional visual upgrade.
