Polyester Fiber Boards + Fabric Wrapped Panels | Co-Working Creative Hub, Berlin, Germany

Project Background
This 4,500 sq m creative co-working hub in central Berlin houses open workstations, private booths, meeting rooms and event spaces. The original open-plan layout with glass partitions and exposed ceiling services caused obvious cross-station speech crosstalk, poor meeting audio clarity and insufficient conversation privacy. The project required eco-friendly, code-compliant acoustic materials matching the modern industrial aesthetic, with modular sizing to fit the building’s grid system.
Acoustic Solution
Partition walls and work booth interiors use 100% recycled polyester fiber boards from the Eco-Friendly Series. E0 grade formaldehyde-free with impact-resistant surfaces, the panels deliver NRC 0.85–0.95 absorption, reducing cross-workstation sound leakage and adapting to high-frequency daily use. Meeting rooms and phone booths are lined with high-density fiberglass core fabric wrapped panels from the Fabric Series. Custom fabric finish matched to the space design, the panels deliver NRC 0.85–1.0 absorption, eliminate flutter echo and boost speech privacy for confidential discussions. All products are factory pre-cut to fit modular wall dimensions for fast on-site installation.
Project Outcomes
- Cross-workstation speech crosstalk reduced by 39%
- Meeting room speech intelligibility improved by 42%
- Open-area reverberation time reduced to 0.7–0.9 seconds
- All materials meet EN 13501 Class A fire safety standards
