Grooved & Perforated Acoustic Panels for Indoor Table Tennis Stadium Acoustic Treatment

grooved perforated acoustic panels

Indoor table tennis venues are large enclosed spaces with high ceilings and hard ground. Ball hitting sound, running footsteps and audience cheers will form strong low-frequency reverberation inside the venue. The superposed muddy sound affects the referee’s judgment and the athletes’ on-the-spot state. Conventional porous acoustic boards cannot effectively process low-frequency standing waves generated inside sports venues.

Combined grooved and perforated resonant acoustic panels are arranged around the venue walls. Based on Helmholtz resonance principle, the structure accurately absorbs 250Hz–1000Hz mid-low frequency standing wave noise. Equipped with rear air cavities and sound-absorbing cotton filling, the comprehensive NRC value reaches 0.90 to realize overall balanced sound absorption of the venue. Wood veneer surface is wear-resistant and impact-resistant, fitting the high-frequency use characteristics of sports venues.

After acoustic optimization, the reverberation index of the table tennis hall meets the standard value of sports buildings. The broadcast voice inside the field is clear and uniform without echo interference. The chaotic noise in the space is effectively controlled, reducing athletes’ auditory fatigue during training and competitions.
