Grooved & Perforated Acoustic Panels for Church & Chapel Hall Acoustic Optimization

Church and chapel halls feature super high ceilings, large open spaces and hard masonry walls, causing severe long-time low-frequency reverberation. Hymn singing, speeches and prayer voices become muddy, echoing and unintelligible. Traditional porous acoustic materials cannot solve low-frequency standing wave problems, resulting in poor sound uniformity throughout the audience area.
Based on Helmholtz resonance principle, combined grooved and perforated acoustic panels were installed on side walls and rear walls. The precision structural design targets 250Hz–1000Hz mid-low frequency noise and residual standing waves. Matched with rear air cavity and acoustic backing material, the overall NRC reaches 0.90, realizing full-band balanced sound absorption and greatly improving speech and singing clarity.
