This high-end yoga and Pilates studio focuses on mind-body wellness and places great emphasis on a tranquil, immersive class experience. The original space had polished concrete floors, full-height mirrors and smooth plaster walls, resulting in noticeable echo and reverberation. During group classes, instructor cues, breathing sounds and background music overlapped and echoed, disrupting focus and reducing the meditative quality of the practice. The studio founder wanted an acoustic solution that felt warm, soft and deeply aligned with the brand’s calming, low-saturation visual identity.

We designed a full custom fabric-wrapped acoustic panel system for all practice rooms and reception areas. High-density acoustic cores deliver NRC 0.85–0.95 full-frequency sound absorption, eliminating room echo and softening reflected sound to create a gentler, more immersive acoustic environment. We worked closely with the brand team to custom-select matte linen-blend fabric in warm earth tones, matching the studio’s interior palette perfectly for seamless visual integration. All materials meet commercial fire safety and low-VOC standards, ensuring a safe, healthy atmosphere for long hours of closed-door practice.

After the renovation, sound clarity during instruction improved dramatically; teachers no longer need to raise their voices, and students can follow cues smoothly even in large group classes. The soft, diffused acoustic environment helps participants enter a focused, meditative state more quickly, and class satisfaction scores have risen notably. The refined fabric finish also reinforces the studio’s premium, restorative brand image, proving that custom acoustic design can be both a functional upgrade and a core part of spatial brand expression.
