Acoustic Ceiling Panels + Polyester Fiber Boards | Tech Headquarters Office Retrofit, Austin, USA

Project Background
This 4,200 sq ft open-plan tech headquarters in Austin, Texas faced excessive reverberation, cross-team speech crosstalk and degraded meeting audio clarity, driven by full-height glass partitions, polished concrete floors and exposed service ceilings. The project required code-compliant, eco-friendly acoustic materials matching a minimalist modern aesthetic, with factory-precise sizing to fit the 600×600mm architectural ceiling grid and minimize jobsite waste.
Acoustic Solution
Full-ceiling coverage of high-density fiberglass acoustic ceiling panels from the Ceiling Series is applied across all open work zones. The smooth, non-textured tiles deliver NRC 0.90–0.95 sound absorption, control overhead reflections and reduce overall ambient noise, with factory-cut precision edges engineered to fit the ceiling grid with zero on-site modification. Feature walls and meeting room perimeters are clad with 100% recycled polyester fiber boards from the Eco-Friendly Series. E0 grade formaldehyde-free and custom color-matched to the brand palette, the panels absorb mid-high frequency speech noise and boost speech privacy for confidential meetings. All materials are factory cut to exact project dimensions to minimize jobsite waste.
Project Outcomes
- Open-area reverberation time reduced to 0.7–0.9 seconds, meeting ASTM office acoustic standards
- Cross-workstation speech crosstalk reduced by 38%
- Conference room speech intelligibility improved by 42%
- E0-grade recycled material line supports the project’s LEED Silver certification goals
