Medical Grade Fabric Acoustic Panels | Vancouver Premium Medical Aesthetics Clinic Privacy Upgrade

Project Challenge
This 880㎡ premium medical aesthetics clinic in Greater Vancouver covers consultation rooms, treatment suites, a recovery lounge and public waiting areas. Original lightweight partition walls and hard surface finishes caused clear inter-room sound leakage — treatment equipment noise and consultation conversations could easily be overheard from the hallway, increasing patient anxiety and creating privacy compliance risks. The clinic needed wipeable, hygienic acoustic materials that fit with its calm, luxury interior aesthetic.
Our Solution
In consultation and treatment rooms we installed full-height high-density fiberglass core medical-grade fabric acoustic panels, with an NRC rating of 0.85–1.0. The outer face uses medical-grade stain-resistant flame-retardant fabric that stands up to daily wipe-down disinfection. The panels effectively cut airborne sound transmission between rooms, keeping patient consultations private and reducing noise stress during treatment. In public waiting areas and corridors we used perforated acoustic panels with mineral wool backing, NRC 0.80+, with smooth dense easy-to-clean surfaces to control reverb in public zones.
All materials meet ASTM E84 Class A fire safety standards and ultra-low VOC emission requirements, fully compliant with North American medical facility norms. We built out room by room in phases, keeping the clinic partially open the whole time.
Project Results
Inter-room sound leakage is effectively eliminated, and patient pre-treatment anxiety scores dropped notably. Patient satisfaction scores for visit comfort are up 33%, and speech privacy now fully meets local medical privacy compliance standards. All materials hold up perfectly to daily clinic disinfection routines with no performance drop.
